Vivian Carlton, MSPA-C, CEO

Vivian Carlton is the founder of Coastal Family Urgent Care. She graduated in 1999 from University of California, San Diego with degrees in both Computer Science and Economics. After working as a software engineer for several years, she decided to change careers so she could have a more direct impact on people’s lives. She received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University in 2008, graduating with High Honors. She has practiced Emergency Medicine for over 10 years at numerous hospitals. Vivian enjoys spending her time in the water and with her two children.

Amy Aminlari, MD, Medical Director

Dr. Amy Aminlari serves as the Medical Director of the practice. She completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Yale University in 1999. She later completed her Masters in Public Health from Columbia University, School of Public Health in 2000. In 2007, she completed her residency in Emergency Medicine after obtaining her Medical Degree from New York Medical College in 2004. During her schooling, Dr. Aminlari participated in several research projects with noted publications. Dr. Aminlari is a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been an attending at numerous hospitals. She is looking forward to provide quality care to the patients.

Elizabeth Marquart, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Marquart is a board-certified emergency physician with more than 15 years of experience. She attended Ohio State University School of Medicine (Go Buckeyes!) and completed a residency in emergency medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. When she is not busy mending wounds and saving lives, she enjoys cooking, travelling, and soaking up the San Diego sunshine with her family.

Krista Mason, NP

Krista Mason is a board certified Nurse Practitioner born and raised in North County San Diego. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from University of Wisconsin, Madison as captain of their women’s soccer team. She then obtained a second degree with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marymount University while working as an emergency room technician. Two years after transitioning to an emergency room nurse, she graduated with honors in 2016 with a Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. She has since worked as a nurse practitioner in both the emergency department and urgent care settings. Krista loves spending time with her growing family back in her hometown in North County San Diego.

Erin Zehntner, NP

Erin Zehntner is a certified Nurse Practitioner who graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2004 with a degree in Psychology. She was a member of their woman’s swim team and competed in the US swimming olympic trials in the year 2000. Erin moved to San Diego after graduating from Azusa Pacific University’s School of Nursing in 2017 with a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus in emergency medicine. She still continues to work as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. On her days off, she loves to work out and spend time with her “handsome” Golden Retriever, Wally.
