What is a Mid-level Provider?

A mid-level provider, a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP), is a licensed and highly skilled healthcare professional.  Just as physicians, they are trained to provide patient evaluation, education and health care services. Mid level providers are required to attend a post graduate medical training program that includes classroom studies and clinical experience.  All of our providers here are licensed by the State of California.

ALL providers, including physicians, are required to provide medical services in which they are competent to perform and consistent with their training and experience.

The supervising physicians and mid-level providers work in collaboration to provide the best care possible. The supervising physician is always available to the mid-level provider, should the need arise, to provide feedback for healthcare questions.
